AIKEN, S.C. - The Temple University men's golf team continued its spring season at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, hosted by USC Aiken. The Owls completed the rain-shortened, 36-hole event in 13th place at 615.

- After seeing its first round interrupted due to inclement weather, Temple returned to action in the morning to finish the second half of its first 18-hole round.
- Senior Jake Naese was tied for eighth individually after round one, shooting a three-over par 73 on a difficult course that saw just one player - Clemson's Lucas Augustsson - shoot in red numbers for the first round.
- The second round saw the Owls shave 17 strokes off their first-round score, totaling a 299.
- Senior Ethan Whitney carded the best round of any Temple player at the event in round two, a two-over par 72, while Naese finished up at 75.
- Overall, Naese tied for 18th individually, marking the third straight event a Temple player has registered a top-20 finish.
- Clemson won the team competition by five strokes over host USC Aiken at 563.
- USC Aiken's Oscar Abrahamsson shot a six-under par 64 in round two to tie for the top individual spot with Campbell's Henric Bjelke.
- Temple returns to action at the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley on March 17-18 in North Carolina.
