SNOW HILL, N.C. - The Temple University men's golf team completed the second day of the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate on Saturday. The Owls stand in the middle of the pack in a tie for sixth place as team heading into the final round of competition Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a solid opening round of one-under par 287, Temple had trouble finding its rhythm on day two of the event.

  • Junior Aidan Emmerich led the way for the team individually, registering a team-best, two-over par 74.
  • Emmerich stands in the top 20 individually heading into Sunday's final 18, and carded 13 straight pars to close his round.
  • Senior Jake Naese is just outside the top 20 and two strokes behind his teammate after a second-round 76.
  • Senior Ethan Whitney, who entered Saturday in a tie for second place, is tied for 19th at one-over par for the tournament.
