SCOUTING TEMPLE
- The Owls head into the American Athletic Conference Championship after closing regular-season play with a home win against FDU with a sweep of 4-0. The Cherry and White strung together a dominant six-match win in February and March, highlighted by victories over Norfolk State, Long Island, Howard, FDU, Rider, and Siena.
- Sophomore Marianthi Christoforidou and junior Thamara Kawaratani have been partners since last season, earning a regional appearance and building on that momentum in 2024. The duo has played 13 matches at the No. 1 spot this season, securing six wins and leading in three unfinished contests, with standout victories over FDU, LIU, and SJU.
- Freshman Irmak Ozturk has competed in 20 singles matches in her debut collegiate season, posting nine wins in completed play and leading in two unfinished contests. Playing primarily at the top of the lineup, she's delivered gritty performances with key three-set wins over Rider, Drexel, and Howard.
SCOUTING TULSA
- Tulsa enters the AAC Championship with one of the strongest overall records in the league, boasting a 16-7 mark and a near-perfect home record at 10-2. While they have not logged a conference match this season, their winning percentage (.696) reflects consistent performance across various match settings. They've been solid on the road (5-3) and will look to carry momentum from their most recent win into neutral-site competition despite a 1-2 record on neutral courts this year.
