Owls Set Five Personal Bests at the Outdoor AAC Championships

CHARLOTTE N.C - Temple women's track and field wrapped up its 2025 season at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted by Charlotte. Over the course of the three-day meet, the Owls recorded five personal bests and two season-best performances.

> Mariah Jameson led the Owls in the 200-meter dash, clocking a personal best of 24.73. Teammates Allyson Metzger (24.92) and Nya Browne (24.94) followed closely.
> In the 400-meter hurdles, Chloe Smith set a personal best with a time of 1:02.80 to place 16th. Browne also competed in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing 20th with a time of 14.00.
> In the mid-distance events, Maya Gomes ran a personal best of 2:17.16 in the 800 meters, with Laila Cottom finishing in 2:19.29.
> Aliza White Vega turned in a standout performance in the pole vault, securing 8th place and setting a new personal best of 3.82 meters.
> Jade Pope continued her impressive season by setting a personal best of 54.30 in the 400 meters, placing 11th overall. Jameson and Smith also competed in the event, finishing in 56.06 and 57.95, respectively.
> In the jumping events, Inara Shell placed 10th in the long jump with a mark of 5.79 meters before coming back strong in the triple jump, finishing 5th with a season-best of 12.55 meters. Reagan Schwartz also competed in the triple jump, landing in 16th place with a leap of 11.62 meters.
> Amira Green cleared 1.70 meters for fifth place in the high jump.
> To round out the meet the Cherry & White ran a season's best, 3:43.56 in the 1600 meter relay.
