Temple Wraps up Preseason Running at Princeton

5.3.25 | Women's Track and Field

PRINCETON, NJ - Temple women's track and field competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational this weekend hosted by Princeton University. The Owls compete against over 10 schools across seven events.

Results
> To kick off the meet, Emma-Kate Watt finished 14th in the 1,500 meters running a personal best's 4:45.20.
> In the 100 meter dash Allyson Metzger finished 18th in a time of 12.33. Metzger led the highest for the Owls in the 200 meter dash with 11th place finish, in a time of 25.09. Mariah Jameson finished 12th with a time of 25.10. To round out the field Nya Browne ran 25.32 for 18th.
>Jameson finished 8th in the 400 meter dash running sub 56 seconds in a time of 55.98. Teammates Maliah Powell and Terren Bolton finished 25th and 26th.
> Laila Cottom and Maya Gomes finished 23rd and 24th in the 800 meters.
>In the field events Amira Green finished 5th in the high jump clearing 1.71 meters. Inara Shell placed 4th with a leap of 12.16 meters in the triple jump.
