McGrath carded eight birdies and zero bogeys during the unblemished final round to conclude the three-day event at 10-under par overall. The top nine finishers individually at each of the PGAT Americas Qualifying Tournaments around North America earn exempt status and automatic entry into each of the 10 PGAT Americas events this summer.Â
During his five-year Temple career, McGrath was named PING All-Region and Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar while leading the Owls in scoring average four straight seasons. During the 2022-23 campaign, McGrath earned Temple Male Athletic Sport Performer of the Year honors as he accumulated 15 rounds of par or better along with seven top-20 finishes over the 11 events played.
PGAT Americas North America Swing begins in Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada at the Explore NB Open on July 3-6. For a full schedule, please visit the Tour's website.Â
PGA TOUR Americas is an international pathway tour spanning across North and South America where players have the opportunity to earn status on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The 16 tour events are broken up into two competitive segments: six events in the Latin America Swing (Segment I) which spanned from March to May, and 10 events in the North America Swing (Segment II), spanning July to September.
After the first 15 events, the top 120 players on the PGA TOUR Americas Points List will be eligible for the Fortinet Cup Championship. The top 10 players on the final 2025 Fortinet Cup Standings will earn exempt Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2026 season, while the top 80 players will retain PGA TOUR Americas membership through Segment I of 2026.
In addition to 10 exempt Korn Ferry Tour cards via the season-long points race, up to five conditional Korn Ferry Tour cards are available to the top two finishers in the Latin America Swing and the top three finishers in the North America Swing, if these players do not finish in the top 10 on the final Fortinet Cup Standings.
