Men's Golf Wraps Up Play at Temple Invitational

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - The Temple University golf team finished up play at the Temple Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls were led by sophomore William Jun, who earned a top-10 finish in his Temple debut as he tied for eighth place individually.

- After putting together an impressive first day that saw him finish up at four-under par through 36 holes, Jun struggled finding his groove on Tuesday.
- The Jupiter, Fla. product did card a pair of birdies but also had a few blemishes on his scorecard en route to a 78.
- Sophomore Mason Tomé was the top performer for Temple on Tuesday, posting a two-over par 72 that included an eagle on the par-5 third hole.
- On the tournament, Temple's Cherry Team - which Tomé was a part of - finished third in the field in par-5 scoring at 4.69.
- Individually, Jun and sophomore Drew Clark tied for fifth in par-3 scoring at 3.07.
- As a team, the Cherry Team finished in a tie for eighth and the White Team closed in 11th place.
- Lehigh, Drexel, and La Salle all closed with 54-hole scores of 857.Â
- East Carolina's Philip Bondestad ran away with medalist honors, shooting six-under par for the tournament to win by five strokes.
- The Owls are back in action on Sept. 29-30 for the Ironwood Collegiate Classic in Greenville, N.C.
