The American Conference Releases Women’s Basketball Schedule

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced its women's basketball slate in which every team will play nine home games and nine away games.

The Owls will open American Conference play at home on January 3 against UTSA, before heading out on a two‑game road swing to face Wichita State on January 6 and Tulsa on January 9. Temple returns to the Liacouras Center for a home matchup with Tulane on January 13, then travels to ECU on January 17 to continue early conference play.

The Owls host reigning American Conference Champions USF on January 20 and Charlotte on January 24 before hitting the road to take on Rice on January 28 and Tulane once again on January 31.
February begins with a home contest against North Texas on February 7, followed by a trip to UTSA on February 10. Temple then hosts ECU on February 14 before heading to North Carolina to face Charlotte on February 17. A pair of home games follow, as the Owls host Memphis on February 22, followed by Rice on February 25. The month wraps up with a road test at UAB on February 28.

The Owls will close out regular‑season play with two final games in March, traveling to USF on March 3 and hosting Florida Atlantic in the regular‑season finale on March 7.

Beginning this season, the American Basketball Championship will feature the top 10 teams in a new five-day bracket format. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will advance directly to the semifinals, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will receive byes to the quarterfinals. The No. 5 and No. 6 seeds will receive byes to the second round. The 2026 Championship will run Tuesday through Saturday, March 10-14, at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, AL.
