- The Temple women's basketball team (7–9, 1–3 American) fell to the Tulane Green Wave (7–10, 1–4 American), 71–58, at home Tuesday night.
- Junior Jaleesa Molina led the Owls with a career-high 20 points and recorded her sixth double-double of the season, pulling down 10 rebounds.
- Drew Alexander finished with 11 points, while Kaylah Turner and Saniyah Craig each added 10 points. Turner also played a career-high 40 minutes in the loss.
- Four of Temple's five starters scored in double figures.
- East Carolina finished last season seventh among American Athletic Conference teams with an overall record of 17–15 and an 8–10 conference mark. According to the preseason poll, the Pirates were projected to finish seventh again, but currently sit second in the conference, trailing only Rice.
- Kennedy Fauntleroy leads the Pirates with 236 points, averaging 13.1 points per game through 18 contests. She also leads the team in assists (74) and steals (50).
- East Carolina is coming off its largest win of the season, defeating Tulsa 79–48. Four Pirates scored in double figures, and the team shot 11-for-27 (40%) from beyond the arc and 30-for-67 (44.8%) from the field. East Carolina limited Tulsa to just eight points in the fourth quarter, and no Golden Hurricane player reached double figures.
- The Pirates have not beaten Temple since Jan. 11, 2023, when they earned a 72–51 victory. East Carolina is 4–14 all-time against the Owls.
