- Temple heads into American Conference play following a 77–88 loss to No. 25 Princeton on Dec. 22.
- Kaylah Turner led the Owls in scoring, setting a new career high with 36 points. Turner went 13-for-21 from the field, and her eight three-pointers also marked a new career best.
- Turner's 36-point performance is tied for eighth all-time in Temple history, while her eight made three-pointers are tied for second all-time, trailing only Stacey Smalls (9).
- Jaleesa Molina finished with 12 points and five rebounds, while Saniyah Craig recorded 12 rebounds and eight points.
- Despite scoring a season-low eight points in the second quarter against Princeton, the Owls responded with a season-high 32 points in the fourth quarter against the Tigers.
- Temple went undefeated at home (5–0) during non-conference play for the first time since the 2016–17 season.
Scouting the Roadrunners
- The Roadrunners finished atop the American Conference last season, posting a 17–1 conference record and a 26–5 mark overall. They fell to Gonzaga, 62–58, in the first round of the WBIT.
- UTSA is projected to finish second in the American this season, according to the preseason poll.
- The Roadrunners closed out 2025 with a win in their first conference game, defeating Tulane 65–63. Four players scored in double figures, and the game featured 19 lead changes across four quarters.
- Cheyenne Rowe leads the team with 149 points through 12 games, averaging 12.4 points per game. She also leads UTSA in field-goal percentage (.458; 60-for-131) and rebounds with 98 on the season.

- This year, the Kay Yow Award spans 22 conferences across all divisions—DI, DII, DIII, and JUCO. Each conference honoree is recognized as a Servant Leader and wears a special patch on their jersey during the season.

- Jaleesa Molina, Tristen Taylor, and Kaylah Turner have been named team captains for the 2025–26 season.
- Taylor and Molina are the only returning starters from the 2024–25 roster.

- Molina averaged 7.4 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 52.5% from the field.
