Taylor Named to USBWA Weekly Honors

INDIANAPOLIS - Temple women's basketball Tristen Taylor was one of five players to be named to the USWBA Players of the Week, following two stellar performances against USF and Charlotte.
The other honorees include Cotie McMahon (Ole Miss), Kennedie Shuler (Oregon State), Zoe Brooks (NC State), and Riley Weiss (Columbia).
Taylor scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting in an 86–83 win over USF, while also contributing five assists and two steals.
She followed that effort with a career-high 32-point performance against Charlotte, shooting 10-of-13 from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from three-point range and the free-throw line. Taylor also added six assists and four rebounds in the victory.
In the fourth quarter, Taylor poured in 17 points to fuel the largest comeback in program history, as the Owls erased a 26-point deficit to secure an 83–82 win over Charlotte.
