Temple Gymnastics Performs Strong at the Florida Quad-Meet

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Temple University Gymnastics finished with a 193.875 and a third-place finish at the Florida Quad-Meet.

ROTATION ONE (FLOOR: 48.750)
  • The Owls came out firing in the evening's first event. Four members of the starting lineups for Temple scored a 9.700 or higher.
  • Freshman Ella Beck topped her score from last week's meet by posting a 9.700 at Florida.
  • Robyn Dunne, Nikki Rengifo, and Brooklyn Thomas all notched a 9.800 on floor tonight. Dunne's score marks a new career-high in what is her first time competing on floor as an Owl.
  • Thomas improved upon her strong start to her collegiate career on floor from last week with her 9.800 tonight.
 
ROTATION TWO (VAULT: 48.700)
  • Temple improved from week one to week two on vault in a big way. Four members of the lineup posted a 9.725 or higher.
  • Rengifo put up her second 9.800 of the night, this one coming on vault.
  • Junior Amelia Budd marked a new season-high on the vault with a 9.725 while junior Kyrstin Johnson and freshman Jade Harden each scored a 9,725.
 
ROTATION THREE (BARS: 47.875)
  • The Owls continued their strong night on the bars led by Nazstazia-Simone Henry-Jubitana and Robyn Dunne.
  • Henry-Jubitana competed just for the second time in her collegiate career on the bars tonight and marked a career-high 9.825 to lead Temple.
  • Dunne continued to be an asset for Temple on bars in the Florida Quad-Meet. The sophomore marked a 9.725 in the anchor position.
 
ROTATION FOUR (BEAM: 48.550)
  • On the final apparatus of the night, the Owls continued to show up and put up four scores above a 9.725.
  • Hailey Best and Ella Beck each scored a 9.725 on the night marking career-highs for both individuals.
  • Robyn Dunne and Megan White scored high in the fifth and sixth spots in the lineup. The duo put up a 9.800 to close out the night for Temple.
 
UP NEXT
The Owls will return home to Philadelphia for the season's first home meet. The LIU Sharks will pay a visit to McGonigle Hall on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 3:00 pm for Temple's Alumni Meet. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ and live updates can be seen at owlsports.com.
