PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer (0-7-2, 0-3-0 American) hits the road to face Florida Atlantic (3-0-5, 1-0-2 American) on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.

This is the third straight conference game for the Owls. It is also their first road game since Sept. 11, when they faced Tulsa.

Temple fell at home to Charlotte, 2-1, on Sept. 26. For the first time this season, the Owls scored first after Carlos Rojas (3) sent a header into the back of the net in the 37th minute.

Charlotte came out in the second half putting a lot of pressure on the Owls in search of an equalizer. With the wind at their backs, the 49ers were able to get two goals past Gavin Atkinson in the final 10 minutes of the match to secure the victory over Temple.

Top Performer: Carlos Rojas, one goal on two shots.

Florida Atlantic will enter Friday's contest as one of only seven teams remaining in college soccer without a loss. Their recent win over Tulsa snapped a four-game stretch in which they tied their opponent. The Owls are outscoring the opposition, 15-9, and have taken 96 shots this season for an average of 12 per game.

The Owls have had nine different players register a goal so far this season. Michael Tentchou leads the squad with four goals and is also first in points with nine. Dj Koulai has taken the most shots on the team with 19, while Xavi Csato leads the Owls in shots on goal with eight.

According to the Preseason Coaches' Poll, Florida Atlantic was picked to finish second this season. The defending American Conference champions still have senior goalkeeper Alfred Mikkelsen, who was named the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. Mikkelsen has started all eight games for the Owls and has recorded 22 saves.

Florida Atlantic came up short against UCF, 3-2, in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. Their last regular-season loss came on Oct. 17, 2025, when they fell to Charlotte, 1-0.
