Men's Golf Completes First Day of Wexford Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Freshman Nicholas Pisarski fired a two-under 70 in the opening round to lead the Temple men's golf team. The team sits in ninth place after two rounds at the Wexford Intercollegiate.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pisarski is tied for 16th at 2-over par (70-76=146).
- Opened the tournament with a 2-under 70, recording four birdies in the morning round.
- Shot 4-over 76 in round two.
- Senior Jake Naese and sophomore William Jun are tied for 32nd at 5-over (149).
- Naese posted rounds of 1-over 73 and 4-over 76.
- Jun opened with an even-par 72 before carding a 5-over 77 in the afternoon.
- Temple's 2-over 290 in round one positioned the Owls in second place before the afternoon round.
- The field remains tightly grouped entering the final 18 holes.
- As a team, the Owls rank fifth in the field with 25 birdies through two rounds and sixth in par-4 scoring (4.20).
- Individually, Drew Clark is tied for the top performance on par-5 holes through 36 at four-under par.
- Naese is one of only four players in the 90-player field with an eagle, which came during his second round on the par-5 11th hole.
