Owls Set Multiple Personal Records Across Split Weekend

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University's women's outdoor track and field team set multiple personal records at the Bison Classic and South Florida Invite.

Dagny Shiffler ran in the 1500m Unseeded race and finished with a time of 4:58.03. Marking a new personal record for the freshman.
In the 1500m Invitational race, Rian Johnson came across the line with a new personal record of 4:38.63. Rose Tuomisto finished right behind her with a time of 4:42.38. Smashing her previous best by nine seconds.
Emilie Creighton (2:23.95) and Shiffler (2:29.02) both competed in the 800m dash.

Kamryn Ohm placed ninth in the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.60m (11'-9.75). Reece Sullivan also competed in the pole vault and finished with a height of 3.30m (10'-10").
Smilla Ranebro ended the high jump with a height of 1.55m (5'-1").
Inara Shell placed third in the triple jump after achieving a distance of 12.53m (41'-1.5"). Reagan Schwartz jumped a distance of 12.08m (39'-7.75"). Deja Scott also competed in this event and finished with a distance of 11.72m (38'-2.25").
Mariah Jameson was the only athlete to represent Temple in the 400m dash and she placed ninth out of 46 competitors with a time of 54.67. Marking a new personal record for the sophomore.
The only Owl to represent the Cherry & White in the 100m dash was Lila Ziegler, she placed 19th out of 47th with a new personal record of 11.87.
Laila Cottom competed in the 800m race and came across the line with a time of 2:13.40. Placing 17th out of 33 athletes and also setting a new personal record for the junior.
In the 400m hurdles, Chloe Smith set a new personal record with a time of 1:02.06, putting her in 15th place out of 32 athletes. Dicia Watkins also set a new personal record with a time of 1:03.18, finishing 20th.
Jameson set a new personal record in the 200m dash with a time of 24.20, putting her in 16th place out of 60 competitors. Ziegler ended the race with a time of 24.62, putting her in 28th.
