Temple Travels to Charlotte for Final Road Game

PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's lacrosse will travel to North Carolina to face Charlotte in its final road game of the 2026 season. The Owls will take on the 49ers on Friday, April 17 at Jerry Richardson Stadium, with first draw set for noon.Â
OWLS IN THE NESTÂ
Temple is coming off a 10–4 win over Vanderbilt, where four different Owls found the back of the net. The Owls outshot the Commodores, 31–20, in the victory.
Freshman Brooke Mazzei had a standout performance, opening the scoring with back-to-back goals. She finished with four goals, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers to lead the team.
Sarah Gowman recorded four points on three goals and one assist, marking her fourth hat trick of the season. Sabrina Martin led the team with four draw controls while adding one goal and one caused turnover.
Temple collected 14 ground balls in the win, extending its streak of double-digit ground balls to 14 consecutive games. Kaitlyn Stankavage led the team with four ground balls while adding two caused turnovers and three draw controls, marking her 14th straight game with at least one draw control.
In goal, Riley Horoshko recorded 10 saves on 20 shots for a .714 save percentage, marking her seventh double-digit save performance of the season.
SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
Charlotte is coming off a 22–11 loss to South Florida. Junior attacker Isa Torres leads the team with 48 goals and 57 points, including a five-goal performance in the last outing.
Olivia Andrus has totaled 99 draw controls through 12 games, including 16 in conference play. In goal, Katie Ling has recorded 111 saves while facing 376 shots this season.
Temple leads the all-time series 1–0, winning the first matchup between the teams last season.
