Owls Stand in Fourth Place After Day One of John MacDonald Temple Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Travis Robertson fired a three-under par 67 in his second round of action as an Owl, and is tied for the individual lead after 36 holes of the John MacDonald Temple Invitational. Robertson led the Owls to a team score of 580 through two rounds, just five shots off the pace set by the University of Delaware heading into the third and final round on Tuesday.
How It Happened
• The Owls had a rough start to their opening round of the season, and entered the second half of the 36-hole day in a tie for seventh place with Canisius.
• Robertson helped swing momentum Temple's way with a red-hot start to his second round. The Palm Beach, Fla. native was six-under par on his round through his first seven holes, thanks to a pair of eagles on the 3rd and 6th.
• Sophomore Nicholas Pisarski didn't have quite as hot a start as his teammate but found his groove in the middle portion of his second round.
• Pisarski tallied birdies on the 6th, 7th, 12th and 13th en route to a two-under par round of 68. The Orlando, Fla. native is tied for sixth overall and sits just three shots off the pace.
• Max Jackson, seeing his first action as a Temple Owl, was three-under par through his first 13 holes of round two and closed at even-par 70. Jackson ranks in the top 20 individually in a tie for 18th place.
• The final Owl in the top 25 is senior Michael Vital, who shot an even-par 35 on his second-round back nine and is tied for 24th at 147.
