2014-15: Served as team captain and sabre squad leader in her senior season with the Owls...Among other impressive finishes, she took first place in sabre at the NIWFA Championships and was named to the All-NIWFA First Team...Tied for third in sabre at the opening meet of the season, the 35th annual Temple Open...Placed 10th a few weeks later at the Penn State Garret Open...Went 2-1 against UNC and 2-0 against Haverford at the Penn State Invite on Jan. 17...Finished with an impressive record of 20-11 at Northwestern Duals, including a 2-1 mark against #1 Notre Dame...Her final NIWFA Championship resulted in a win, as she helped lead the Owls to a 19th straight title while also taking the individual sabre title...At the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional, she placed 19th...In her Temple career, Rangel-Friedman finished with an overall dual meet record of 141-88...Named to Temple's Director's Honor Roll for having a GPA above 3.0.

2013-14: Concluded her third year with the Owls by placing 13th in sabre at the 2014 NCAA Regionals...Had a strong season overall, particularly in dual meets for Temple and finished with a record of 39-15...Began the season with a 12th-place finish at the Temple Open, and posted a 6-1 record at the Sacred Heart Invitational in the Owls’ first dual meets on Dec. 8...Went 4-1 at the Penn State Invitational including a 2-0 record against North Carolina...Was a perfect 7-0 at the Philadelphia Invitational on Jan. 26, and posted an 8-2 record on the second day of the Northwestern Duals which included a 2-0 performance against Stanford...Was nearly perfect at the Duke Invitational, going 8-1 to help the sabre squad to an undefeated record...Representing Temple for a second year in a row at the NCAA Regionals, she advanced to the semifinals and placed 13th overall...Named to Temple's Director's Honor Roll for having a GPA above 3.0.

2012-13: In the junior sabre event at the U.S. Fencing Junior Olympic Championships, finished the pool round undefeated and earned a 12th-place seed out of a total of 130 competitors...Ended up placing 35th at the tournament...Placed 14th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional...Finished 2-1 at the Northwestern Duals...Was an undefeated 3-0 at the Philadelphia Invitational, helping lead the team to a 5-1 finish...Turned in the Owls' top result at USA Fencing's North American Cup, advancing through three rounds of direct elimination to make the semifinals and finish 16th...Competed in four events at the 2012 USA Fencing National Championships, placing 13th out of 62 in Division IA Women's Sabre before battling her way to a 22nd-place ranking in Junior Women's Sabre.

2011-12: Finished with a 24-10 season in sabre...Went undefeated in 11 meets...Placed 28th at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals...Opened her career with a sixth-place finish at the 32nd annual Temple Open...A week later, placed 16th at the 40th annual Garret Open...In the first dual meet of her career, posted a 5-3 record at the Penn State Invitational...After going 4-2 at the Philadelphia Invitational, went 6-1 at the Penn State Multi-Meet.

PRIOR TO TEMPLE: At the 2011 Summer National Championships, she earned an “A” rating and finished third at the Division IA Championship.

PERSONAL: Fences for the Avant Garde Fencers Club under Daniel Costin...Majoring in environmental studies at Temple.
