Temple Student/Athlete of the Week (October 21-27, 2013) ... 2012 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll … named the most improved offensive player following 2012 spring drills.
2014 (Senior): Team captain ...one of the toughest players on the team, evidenced by his single-digit jersey ... played through a sore shoulder and knee and ankle injuries ... has a streak of 44 consecutive games played ... finished with career highs in receptions (53), yards (730), and TDs (6) ... 32 of his receptions went for first downs (60%) ... closed out career with a reception in 27 straight games ... caught a TD in the first five games this season ... reached 1,000 career receiving yards on a 42-yard TD pass from P.J. Walker in week 4 at Connecticut ... had back-to-back 100 receiving games in week 4 and 5 (at Connecticut and vs. Tulsa) ... was 5-64 in the first half before an injury in week 9 against Memphis ... despite missing practice all week, had a career-defining game at Penn State with 113 yards and a career-long 75-yard TD catch.
2013 (Junior): Changed his number from #15 to #5 when awarded one of the single-digit jerseys given to the toughest guys on the team ... started every game including Memphis despite playing receiver with a broken finger and a cast ... injured his finger in the first quarter vs. UConn and did not return ... one of five Owls to start all 12 games and just one of three on offense ... had career breakout game vs. Army with 128 yards, a 37-yard TD and a 45-yard reception to set up another (some might argue the 45-yarder was in fact a 46-yard TD) ... it was his first career 100-yard game and included the 2 longest receptions of his career (45, 37t) ... earned TU Student-Athlete of the Week honors ... at SMU, the former HS QB took an end around and threw an 83-yd. TD strike to Robby Anderson - it was the 3rd longest pass play in TU history ... in a three game stretch coinciding with the insertion of QB P.J. Walker into the starting lineup, he had 8 catches for 183 yards and 3 TDs (43% of his total yards for the season and 100% of his TDs.
2012 (Sophomore): Played in all 11 games with four starts at wide receiver and switched to quarterback during Wildcat formation … Owls leading receiver for the season with 30 receptions for 363 yards and two TDs … also had 15 carries for 34 yards rushing and 12 kickoff returns for 288 yards … was the Owls leading receiver in five games (Syr., Pitt., Rutgers, MD, and Nova) … played three positions (WR, RB, QB) against Cincinnati … made a 13-yard pass to QB Chris Coyer at #12/10 Louisville for the first pass completion of his collegiate career … caught a 14-yard TD pass with 19 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at Connecticut and force overtime … made his first collegiate start against Maryland.
2011 (Freshman): One of five true freshmen to see game action … played on the kickoff, kickoff return, and punt return units … made collegiate debut against Penn State.
High School: Played QB for coach George Chaump at Harrisburg HS … played in the 2011 Big 33 Football Classic … 2010 Pennsylvania Sportswriters’ Class AAAA first-team All-State quarterback … 2010 first-team Harrisburg Patriot-News All-Star … selected to play in the 2011 Pennsylvania Big 33 game … finished prep career with 3,075 yards passing and 28 TDs while rushing for 1,675 yards and 16 TDs … helped Harrisburg to a 9-3 overall record and a perfect 6-0 conference record as a senior in 2010 when he went 98-of-179 for 1,743 yards and 17 TDs … also rushed for 1,116 yards … played basketball.
