A three-year letter winner ('12, '13, '14)
One of four players remaining on the roster (Wanemi Omuso, Brett Pierce, Anthony Robey) from the 2010 season ... was Temple’s most recent male two-sport athlete.
Honors: Named the most improved offensive player following 2013 spring drills.
2014 (Redshirt Senior): Is the primary back up to starting QB P.J. Walker ... served as the holder on FGs and PATs ... played two series in the 37-7 win at Vanderbilt and led the offense to a FG ... scored a touchdown on a fake field goal in week 5 vs. Tulsa ... played three series at UCF trying to ignite a stagnent offense.
2013 (Redshirt Junior): Began the Spring as a baseball player and backup QB but, after being given an open shot at the position, put away his baseball gear and concentrated on football ... entered training camp #1 on the depth chart and held off freshman P.J. Walker ... opened the season #1 and made his college debut at Notre Dame on national TV ... played well in the opener but suffered a knee injury vs. Hou. (game 2) that prevented him from starting vs. Ford. (game 3) ... when TU trailed 20-7, was inserted into game and led a comeback that gave the Owls two 4th Q leads (but the Owls couldn’t hold) ... shaky performances @Id. and vs. Lou. opened the door for Walker who held the starting job for the remainder of the season ... was credited frequently by Walker and OC Marcus Satterfield with aiding Walker in his quick development. Said Walker, “Connor helps me on the sideline and in the film room. He sees things that I don’t see while I’m on the field.”
2012 (Redshirt Sophomore): Served as the holder for field goals and extra points in all 11 games for career record holder PK/P Brandon McManus.
2011 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in three games … saw action in the shutouts of Buffalo and Ball State and made collegiate debut in the win at Akron.
2010 (Freshman): Redshirted … named the coaches’ offensive scout team player of the game for Central Michigan.
Baseball - 2012: Walked on the Temple baseball team in Spring ... patrolled the outfield in all 38 starts … called off the bench six times … clubbed the second home run in the Owls’ first multi-home run game of the season against Dayton … finished with 36 hits, 25 RBI, and 18 runs … ended the season with six doubles, one triple, and four home runs … recorded eight multi-hit games while ending the season with a .263 batting average
High School: Played QB and punter for coach Trey Taylor at W.T. Woodson HS … team captain ... called a top “sleeper” by Scouts Inc.’s Tom Luginbill ... 2009 first-team All-Patriot District Athlete … 2008 and 2009 second-team All-Patriot District honoree at QB … team’s 2009 MVP … team’s 2008 Outstanding Offensive Back … led team to 11-2 record in 2009, Patriot District championship, and regional playoffs … in prep career, threw for 4,262 yards and 41 TDs … also rushed for 1,176 yards and 17 TDs … as a senior, threw for 2,315 yards and 17 TDs while rushing for 613 yards and 10 TDs … as a junior, went 121-of-211 for 1,947 yards and 24 TDs … also rushed for 522 yards and 6 TDs … 2009 first-team All-District catcher for the baseball team … baseball team captain … 2009 team MVP … attended the 2009 Temple Football Camp.
Personal: Born Connor Allen Reilly on 11/30/91 in Tacoma, WA … parents are Michelle and Neil Reilly … has a younger sister Taylor (19) … father played professional baseball for the Texas Rangers … father is a Lieutentant Colonel in the Army who trains soldiers to fly helicopters ... during a 2010 deployment in Afghanistan, flew the Temple flag over his battalion and traveled with the flag on each mission … Connor carried the U.S. flag on the team’s stadium entry throughout the 2011 and 2012 seasons … member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes … business management major.
