Sophia Meehan

Sophia Meehan is a volunteer cross country and track and field coach with Temple's middle and long distance programs. When not coaching, Sophia works in product development for a New York-based health insurance company.Â
Prior to joining the Temple coaching team, Sophia graduated from The Johns Hopkins University where she was a member of Hopkins’ three-time division III National Championship team. Sophia is a four-time All-American, medaling in cross country, the 3000m, and the 5000m. Sophia was named the Mideast Regional Runner of Year twice in her career, for the 2015 and 2016 cross country seasons.Â
Sophia is originally from Havertown, Pennsylvania. Both her parents graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
