In Spring 2005, the Owls captured sixth at the hotly-contested George Washington Invitational and won their second consecutive Scotty Duncan Memorial crown.
Rogers worked for seven years (1997-2003) as an assistant golf professional at North Hills (Pa.) Country Club and has six years (1998-2003) experience as golf coach at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in Gwynedd Valley, Pa. He has also participated in numerous PGA educational programs over the past eight years and currently instructs at the annual Philadelphia High School Coaches Summit.
Rogers also served as Director of Tournaments and Marketing at TL Golf Services, a golf-specific marketing, public relations and event management firm in Norristown, Pa. He served as President of the Philadelphia Assistant's Organization from 2001-03. The PAO is a 185-member organization representing assistant golf professionals of the Philadelphia Section PGA of America. The group runs the "Links to Charity" annual golf marathon fundraiser which has raised over $250,000 with Rogers assistance from 1998 to 2003. He is currently a project manager for John Stepanik and Associates.
On the links, Rogers won the 2002 Kennett Square Pro-Member and tied for second in the 2002 PAO Apprentice Championship. He also competed in the 1999 and 2000 Pennsylvania State Open Championships and the Moonlight Tour in Orlando, Florida from 1999-2003. Rogers was also selected for and played in the Dick Smith Cup Matches from 1999-2002.
A 1993 graduate of Richard Stockton College in Pomona, N.J. with a degree in environmental science, Rogers was assistant golf professional at Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield, N.J. from 1994 to 1996.
