During the Philadelphia Invitational, Johnson went 9-4, with wins over ranked teams No. 1 Princeton (2-1), No. 2 Notre Dame (1-0), No. 3 Columbia (2-1), No. 12 Yale (2-1)
Helped the Owls defeat No. 8 Northwestern at the Northwestern Duals, going 2-1
Also went a perfect 6-0 on day two with 3-0 records against Air Force and Wayne State, totaling a 10-4 sheet over the two-day meet
