Felicia Kemp begins her second season at Temple University in 2014-15 as the administrative/video coordinator for women’s basketball.
Kemp returned to the college campus after coaching in the community for two seasons. She previously served as an assistant coach at Fordham from 2008-09.
Prior to joining the Fordham staff, Kemp worked as the first assistant coach at Howard for four seasons (2004-08).
Kemp was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Morgan State from 1999-2003, where she served as interim head coach during the 2002-03 season. The Bears' best season in that time came in the 1999-2000 campaign, where the team finished as the MEAC regular-season runner-up.
Kemp also had stints at Peninsula Christian School, where she was the head coach during the 1996-97 season, and served as an assistant coach at Christopher Newport from 1995-99. While at Christopher Newport, the team earned four Dixie Conference regular-season championships as well as the 1998 Dixie Conference Tournament Championship, and made three NCAA appearances (1996-98).
Kemp played basketball at Christopher Newport from 1992-95, and led the 1993 and 1995 teams to NCAA Tournament appearances, as well as winning four Dixie Conference regular-season championships.
Beyond her work as an assistant coach and player, Kemp has worked with a number of basketball camps as an instructor, including those at Richmond, Virginia, and the WNBA.
A native of Hampton, Va., Kemp received a bachelor’s degree in recreation from Christopher Newport University in 1997.
Kemp earned a master’s degree in psychology, specializing in sports performance, from the University of the Rockies in 2011.
