Caitlin Council, a former student assistant coach at Towson University, is entering her third season as assistant women's gymnastics coach at Temple University. Council will assist Murphy in all aspects of coaching including recruiting, travel and fundraising. As a former gymnast and coach, she has been involved in all aspects of competing in women's gymnastics, and has several years of coaching experience. In her collegiate career, was a walk-on gymnast at Towson University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Physical Education.

Coach Council comes from a long background of coaching gymnastics, starting with recreational classes at Barlow's gymnastics and slowly making her way to coaching the competitive team. In addition to coaching at Barlow's, she also has coached at Woodward Gymnastics Camp for the last six summers. Last season, she coached the Temple Owls balance beam team to become the number one beam team in the ECAC conference, topping her alma mater Towson University. With three years solidified as a Temple Owl, Council is looking towards winning the ECAC championships and competing against her former school.
