Former Region 7 gymnast Chris Licameli, from Elite Gymnastics in Amityville, NY will be entering his first season with the Owls as the Director of Operations.
As the Director of Operations, Licameli’s duties include making arrangements for flights to away competitions, calling hotels to negotiate the best accommodations, reserving buses for travel, arranging usage of the Temple vans for team travel, making travel itineraries for each weekend, calling restaurants to make large group reservations, helping out with post-home meet alumni functions, and being involved with coordinating the end of the year banquet.
Along with Licameli’s current position with Temple Women’s gymnastics he coaches for the Philadelphia Boy’s Gymnastics Level 4 team. He has also coached the past three summers at International Gymnastics Camp in Stroudsburg, PA.
Licameli is in the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management (STHM) and is a Sport & Recreation Management Major with a concentration in Governance & Policy. Licameli was a manager for the Temple University Men’s Basketball team in 2013 and 2014 seasons. He hopes to work and/or coach in collegiate women’s gymnastics as a career.
