Reid Vanderlinden joined the Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes at Temple, as an academic advisor for football in June of 2015. Vanderlinden came to the university after completing his master's degree and working in a similar role at Penn State.
At Penn State, Vanderlinden served as a graduate assistant at the Morgan Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes, where he assisted with academic advising and counseling. He assisted the director with academic eligibility under university, Big Ten conference, and NCAA regulations, and also worked as a student-enrichment and community service liaison between academic support and the football team.
Earning a master's degree in higher education, Vanderlinden also served as a teaching assistant for two semesters at Penn State. In that role, he assisted the instructor with a first-year transition seminar class. He also spent three summers working at the Penn State Sport Camps.
Vanderlinden is a 2013 graduate of Johns Hopkins University, with a degree in political science. While at Johns Hopkins, he was a four-year letter winner for the football team, helping the Blue Jay's to four-straight Centennial Conference championships.
