Alexandra Beynon joined the Temple volleyball staff as a graduate extern for the 2012 season. Beynon is a second-year student in the sport and recreation management master's program at Temple, and also currently works as a graduate extern at the Student Faculty Center on Temple's Health Science Campus.
As a graduate extern for volleyball, Beynon will assist head coach Bakeer Ganes in the daily operations of the program. She will have responsibility for team travel, scheduling of events and game day activities. Among other duties, Beynon will assist in all aspects of volleyball video operations and serve as the secondary contact for film exchange requests and practice requests.
Beynon earned her bachelor's degree in political science from Temple in 2008, with a minor in sociology. She was a Dean's List student every semester. After graduation, Beynon worked for three years as a paralegal and office manager at a law firm in Philadelphia.
No stranger to the sport of volleyball, Beynon played for coach David Lieber at Masterman High School, winning Philadelphia Public League Championships in 2001 and 2003. She also participated in Starlings Club Volleyball with Coach Lieber and traveled to San Diego in 2003 for the Starlings National Tournament.
As a first-year student at Elizabethtown College before transferring to Temple, Beynon worked as a Match Crew Member for the Women's Volleyball team, and also worked as a volleyball referee for GEARS co-ed adult recreational league in the Elizabethtown community.
