Joe Gillespie

With 16 years of volleyball coaching experience, Joe Gillespie joined Bakeer Ganes’ staff as a volunteer video assistant in 2011. Gillespie served in a similar role for the Owls in 2010. Since 1994, Gillespie has been the JV and Varsity Head Coach at Collingswood High School, during which time he has also coached a number of other teams at the high school and club level.
Gillespie’s teams have earned seven Olympic Conference National Division Championships. In 2006, Gillespie was named the Courier Post Coach of the Year, and in 2008 he coached the Courier Post Player of the Year and Team of the Year. He has been actively involved in coaching at clinics all over the country in his career and is also an active member of the AVCA as well as a former volleyball official in New Jersey.
