Sara Scheirman joined the Temple volleyball staff as a graduate extern in July, 2013. She is a recent graduate of Duquesne and a three-time All-Atlantic 10 honoree as an outside hitter for the Dukes' volleyball team.

Scheirman, who will be working toward her master's degree in sports management while at Temple, earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Duquesne in May, 2013. She served as team captain in her senior year and also served for two seasons as the team's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative. Among her off-the-court honors were selection to attend the 2012 NCAA Career in Sports Forum and mention to the dean's list, Director of Athletics' Honor Roll and Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

As a sophomore, Scheirman was named to the A-10 Second Team after leading the Dukes with 360 kills- the ninth best single-season total in program history. In her freshman year she earned A-10 All-Rookie honors, and as a junior she was named A-10 Honorable Mention.

Since January of 2013, Scheirman has been coaching 14-year olds with the Renaissance Volleyball Club in Pittsburgh. She also served as a coach for the TSEVB Camp in California, Pa., in July of 2013.
