Quarells joins the Owls from Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Fla., where she finished her career as the school's all-time leader in both kills (731) and blocks (247). As a senior, Quarells led the district in blocks, earned Pensacola Sports All-Star West Coach MVP honors and was recognized as a Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Academic selection.
Quarells also led the district in blocks as a junior while earning another FACA All-Academic honor. As a sophomore, she was named the Pensacola News Journal Newcomer of the Year before earning Freshman MVP and Freshman Rookie of the Year honors during her first varsity season.
