Galac comes to Temple after spending the 2021 season as the seasonal assistant strength & conditioning coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While with the Steelers he worked with four Pro Bowl players including 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt.
Prior to his time in Pittsburgh, Galac spent nine seasons wit the New York Jets, including eight as the team’s head strength & conditioning coach. As such, he was responsible for designing and implementing a strength and condition program for both in and off-season, designing a nutrition and hydration plan, rehabilitating injured players, GPS and heart rate tracking, as well as inventory and maintenance of all strength equipment.
While with the Jets he worked with over a dozen Pro Bowl players, including helping former Owl Muhammad Wilkerson to his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2015. It is also where he first met Chris Fenelon, Temple’s head strength & conditioning coach.
This marks a return to Philadelphia for Galac who spent seven seasons at Villanova from 2005-2012, including its 2009n national championship year. He served as the Wildcats head strength & conditioning coach for football and also worked as the assistant defensive line coach. In addition, he also oversaw the strength & conditioning for all 22 varsity sports.
Galac started his career as a student assistant at SUNY College at Brockport and then served as a graduate assistant at Dickinson College. He played football and received his undergraduate degree in physical education from SUNY-Brockport in 2003.
