Senior guard Will Cummings has been named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 22.
The Owl co-captain led the men's basketball team in scoring in two NIT wins Against Bucknell on March 18, he scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 73-67 win over the Bison. The Jacksonville, Fla. native followed that with 21 points and four assists in a 90-77 win over George Washington Sunday.
For week he averaged 26 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists, while shooting 15-25 from the field (60%), 4-7 from three and a perfect 17-17 from the line.
