Kelly Driscoll, who has been with the Temple field hockey program since 2011, was promoted to Associate Head Coach in April, 2014. Driscoll's promotion came on the heels of a hugely successful season for the program, as Temple earned a Top 20 national ranking, defeated #6 Penn State, and had a strong first season in the BIG EAST Conference.
After serving for two years as a graduate assistant coach, Driscoll was hired full-time as the assistant coach for the Owls in June, 2013. She was a former standout goalkeeper at Old Dominion University before joining Amanda Janney’s staff in 2011.
As associate head coach, Driscoll has taken on additional responsibilities including video coordination, alumni relations, and serving as the team's liaison with the compliance office. Driscoll is responsible for running the program's Spring Tournament and organizing the Team Banquet. She has been instrumental in the Owls' recruiting success and in day-to-day practice and game preparations. Driscoll is responsible for goalkeeper training sessions and her coaching style has helped improve the performance of Temple's goalkeepers.
In April of 2013, Driscoll was named to the U.S. Women's National Indoor Team. She was a part of the the USA National Development team in 2011, and brought her USA National outdoor team training experience to the indoor team as it prepared for the 2014 Pan American Indoor Cup. In March, 2014, Driscoll was the goalkeeper for USA Team Blue which won the gold medal at the USFHA Women’s National Indoor Tournament (NIT).

In the summer of 2013, Driscoll stayed active at all levels and had a great deal of success at two tournaments. She was a goalkeeper for the Mamba Team which won the inaugural Harrow Cup, a post-collegiate tournament that was hosted at Temple’s own Geasey Field in early June. Just prior to that, Driscoll competed at the USFHA Women’s National Championships in Norfolk, Va., where her Pennsylvania High Performance Team finished as runners-up.
Driscoll played for the ODU Monarchs from 2006-09 before earning her bachelor’s degree in 2010 in criminal justice and sociology. She went on to graduate with a master’s degree in applied sociology from ODU in 2011, and earned a second master’s degree at Temple in liberal arts in 2013.
Driscoll has served as a goalkeeper coach at ODU camps, at the club field hockey level and with the US Futures Field Hockey Program. During her playing career at ODU, Driscoll was twice named to the All-CAA First Team and also earned All-Region second team honors in 2008 and 2009.
Named to the United States National Development Team from 2010-11, Driscoll trained full-time in July and August of 2010 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., and returned to train with the team from January to June of 2011. She was selected to represent the U.S. in the NFHCA Division I Senior All-Star game in November, 2010, and was also on the roster for the U.S./Canada series and the U.S./Japan series in 2010.
Driscoll is a native of nearby West Chester, Pa., and attended Villa Maria Academy where she was an all-league, all-area and all-state selection in field hockey as well as an all-league and all-area honoree in lacrosse.
