Philadelphia (October 14) - The Temple Owl field hockey team fell, 2-1, to Stanford
today at Geasey Field.
The contest was closely contested before Stanford scored the first goal
of the game early in the second period at 31:58 by Julie Gwozdz (Weston,
Mass.). Teammate Michelle Scott (Chicago, Ill.) followed with a score at
12:18.
Temple's lone goal came with 6:58 remaining on a direct corner by Torie
Russell (Easton, Pa./Easton Area).
The Owls battle No. 6 Old Dominion on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. on Geasey
Field.
