Dan Leibovitz begins his fourth season as a member of the Owls' coaching staff.
Since joining the staff in 1996, the Owls have been to three NCAA Tournaments (1997, 1998 and 1999), including a trip to the Elite Eight in 1999, won two Atlantic 10 regular season championships (1998 and 1999) and compiled a 65-31 overall record.
Leibovitz recently completed his master's degree in the Sports Management and Leisure Studies program. He is a 1996 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
His responsibilities for the Owls include extensive video work to create films for scouting and teaching purposes, coordinating the film exchange, monitoring the team's strength and conditioning programs, working closely with the academic advisory staff, assisting with on-campus recruiting visits and participating in all teaching and coaching duties.
The past five summers, Leibovitz has served as an assistant coach at the John Chaney Basketball Camp. He began his coaching career in 1994 at Episcopal Academy in Merion, Pa.
A product of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Leibovitz was a three-year varsity letterman in basketball as a prep at Episcopal Academy. In his senior year, he earned four varsity letters, participating on the school's basketball, soccer, baseball and track and field teams.
Prior to enrolling at Pennsylvania for his sophomore year, Leibovitz attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., where he participated on the varsity basketball team.
