SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) -- A.J. Guyton scored 22 points and Kirk Haston
added 20 as Indiana beat No. 5 Temple 67-59 Friday night in the Tip-Off
Classic.
Lynn Greer hit six 3-pointers and scored 25 points to lead Temple (1-1),
which was playing without point guard Pepe Sanchez, who sprained his
ankle earlier in the week.
Haston keyed a 9-0 run for Indiana (2-0) early in the second half. He
hit a pair of layups, a jumper and a free throw to give the Hoosiers a
49-40 lead with 10:41 remaining.
Greer answered with a pair of 3-pointers and Quincy Wadley got free on a
layup to pull Temple to 49-48 with 8:37 left.
Indiana struck early from outside building an 18-7 lead on four
3-pointers within the first three minutes, including two by Guyton.
