PHILADELPHIA, PA (November 5) - Temple was eliminated from the A-10 field hockey tournament as Rhode Island defeated the Owls 3-1.

In the day's second game, #3 seed Rhode Island (9-11) reached the final for

the second straight year by defeating #2 Temple (7-13), 3-1. The Rams jumped

out to a 2-0 first-half lead on goals by Marcie Bourski (East Greenwich, RI)

and Crystal Mohr (Bainbridge, PA). After Temple cut the lead to 2-1 on a

goal by Torie Russell (Easton, PA), the Rams defense shut the door the rest

of the way, limiting the Owls to just four second-half shots. URI's Beth

Milley (Leola, PA) capped off the scoring with a late goal for the Rams.

The Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Championship final will be played at 1:00pm on
