MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Jon Bryant and Charlie Wills each scored 12 points as Wisconsin beat No. 17 Temple 62-44 on Wednesday night.

Bryant scored all of his points on 3-point baskets as Wisconsin (8-4) made a season-high nine 3-pointers. Andy Kowske added 10 for the Badgers.

Quincy Wadley led Temple (6-3) with a career-high 25 points, and Lynn Greer added 15.

Temple shot just 27.1 percent from the field en route to its lowest point total since a 59-35 loss to Massachusetts in 1996.

Temple, which has been without point guard Pepe Sanchez since he sprained an ankle in the first game, also played without Mark Karcher. Karcher

Wisconsin's biggest lead of the first half was 10 at 18-8, with all of its points coming on 3-pointers. Bryant hit three, and Duany Duany had two.

The Badgers, who were averaging less than 15 3-point attempts, were 7-of-14 from beyond the arc in the first half and didn't score a 2-point basket

until Kowske's layup with 5:22 remaining.

Wadley, who entered the game averaging 8.4 points, accounted for more than half of the Owls' first-half offense with 11 points, including three

3-pointers.

After leading 27-19 at halftime, the Badgers stretched their lead to 39-23 early in the second half. Temple closed to 40-29 after six straight points by

Wadley, but the Badgers pulled away with a 12-2 run capped by consecutive layups by Kowske.
