Owl Field Hockey to Host Temple Invitational

Philadelphia --- The Temple Field Hockey team will host the 10th Annual Temple Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11 and 12 on Geasey Field. Temple will play Louisville at 11 am followed by Michigan State and North Carolina at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
On Sunday, the winners will play the championship game at 1:30 pm following the consolation game at 11 am.
Last year, North Carolina captured its sixth straight title defeating Radford University 5-1. The Tar Heels advanced after a 1-0 win over Michigan State. Temple placed third with a 1-0 win over the Spartans in the consolation game. The Owls had fallen to Radford 3-0, and Michigan State to UNC 1-0.
North Carolina has participated each season since 1990. For Michigan State this is its second year and for the Cardinals it is their first appearance.
