Owls to Host New Mexico in PNIT Second Round Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA - Temple has been named as the host school for its
second-round game of the Preseason National Invitation Tournament, it
was announced early this morning by Director of Athletics Dave O'Brien.
The Owls will host the University of New Mexico in a 7:30 p.m. (EST)
start on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Liacouras Center on the Temple
University campus.
Temple (1-0) advanced to the second round with a 56-49 victory over
Delaware at the Liacouras Center Monday night. New Mexico (1-0)
qualified for the second-round with a 79-68 win over George Mason
University in Albuquerque, also on Monday. The winner of Wednesday
night's game will advance to the NIT semifinals, scheduled for
Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The
championship finals will follow at the Garden on Friday, Nov. 24.
Texas also advanced to the second round by posting a 79-65 win over Navy
on Monday. The Longhorns will meet the winner of Monday's fourth
tournament game, Mississippi State at California. Tuesday's tournament
matchups include Pepperdine at Indiana, South Alabama at Marquette,
Fairfield at Villanova and Princeton at Duke.
