PHILADELPHIA - Senior forward Rouldra Thomas has been declared eligible
for Temple's non-conference basketball game tonight against Wake Forest,
it was announced today by Director of Athletics Dave O'Brien.
Thomas, who sat out the Owls' first 10 games due to academic
deficiencies, successfully completed the necessary course work during
the fall semester to regain his athletic eligibility, effective today.
The 6-8, 210-pound senior out of Natchez, Mississippi begins his second
season with the Owls tonight. A transfer from North Carolina State,
Thomas arrived at Temple in the fall of 1998 and sat out the 1998-99
season under NCAA transfer-eligibility rules. In the 1999-2000 season at
Temple, he appeared in eight games, played a total of 19 minutes, scored
12 points and grabbed six rebounds.
