Thomas Declared Eligible for Wake Forest Game

PHILADELPHIA - Senior forward Rouldra Thomas has been declared eligible

for Temple's non-conference basketball game tonight against Wake Forest,

it was announced today by Director of Athletics Dave O'Brien.

Thomas, who sat out the Owls' first 10 games due to academic

deficiencies, successfully completed the necessary course work during

the fall semester to regain his athletic eligibility, effective today.

The 6-8, 210-pound senior out of Natchez, Mississippi begins his second

season with the Owls tonight. A transfer from North Carolina State,

Thomas arrived at Temple in the fall of 1998 and sat out the 1998-99

season under NCAA transfer-eligibility rules. In the 1999-2000 season at

Temple, he appeared in eight games, played a total of 19 minutes, scored

12 points and grabbed six rebounds.
