  • Pepe Sanchez's 15 assists were a career high and ties DePaul's Kenny

Patterson (vs. Syracuse, 1985 1st round) for the second-most assists in

an East Regional game. New Mexico State's Sam Crowford holds the East

Regional record with 16 assists against Nebraska in the 1993 first

    round.

  • With the victory, Temple has now won 18 of its last 19 games. The

average margin of victory in those wins is better than 19 points per

    game.

  • Temple, which ranks second in the country in scoring defense, held

committed fewer than 10 turnovers in a game, but the first time in their

    last six games.
