Nase Named Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA (Sept. 12, 2000) - Temple's Susan Nase was named Atlantic
10 Conference field hockey rookie of the week yesterday.
A freshman forward, Nase scored one goal and led Temple to a 2-0 win
over Towson on Saturday in the opening game of the Temple Invitational
Tournament. In the championship game on Sunday, the Owls were defeated,
6-1, by North Carolina. Nase held the Tar Heel's Jana Toepel, a member
of the U.S. National Team, scoreless in the game.
Nase, a native of Reading, Pa., graduated from Exeter Township High
School.
