Field Hockey Downs The Hofstra Pride, 2-0, at Geasey Field

PHILADELPHIA (September 16) - Temple field hockey defeated Hofstra, 2-0, today on a

windy day at Geasey Field.

The Owls overcame the cold weather to score one goal in each half.

Junior Juliann Leskiw (Wilkes Barre, Pa./Coughlin) scored the first goal

with 5:55 left in the first period. Freshman Deanna Radcliffe

(Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) scored the second goal with 11:04

left in the second period. This was the first goal of the season for

both Leskiw and Radcliffe.

Jill Polmateer (St. Johnsville, N.Y./Johnstown) added two assists.

Jessica Grisafi (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) added one assist.

The Owls are next in action tomorrow at home against the University of

Richmond. Game time is at noon at Geasey Field.
