Temple Tops Ursinus in Field Hockey

COLLEGEVILLE (September 2, 2000) -- Temple senior midfielder Kacy Ziomek
scored one goal and added two assists as the Owls (1-0) defeated Ursinus
(0-1) in the season opener for both teams.
Temple jumped out early when Jessica Grisafi scored the first of her
two goals just 30 seconds into the game. They went on to tally three more
unanswered before junior forward Julie Lowell (Denver, PA/Garden Spot) put
Ursinus on the board with 30:30 left in the game.
Temple outshot Ursinus 20-8 and garnered 15 penalty corners to
Ursinus' one. Bears' goalie Nicole Monatesti (Lititz, PA/Warwick) recorded
12 saves while April Herman saved five shots for the Owls.
