Temple Field Hockey Falls to Georgetown, 3-2, at Geasey Field

PHILADELPHIA (Sept. 23) - Temple field hockey lost to Georgetown, 3-2,

today at Geasey Field.

On a rainy day in Owl Country, the game remained scoreless until the

second half. Elena Elater led the way for the Hoyas with two goals. She

was assisted by Sarah Oglesby and Aubrey Bruggeman on both goals.

Caitlin McLean scored the final goal for Georgetown with 19:41 remaining

in the game.

The Owls remained aggressive and came from behind to score two goals in

the second half. Junior Juliann Leskiw (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin)

scored the Owls first goal with 21:38 left in the game. Senior Kacy

Ziomek (Sweet Valley, Pa./Lake Lehman) kept Temples hopes alive with

her goal with 6:50 left in the game. She was assisted by Freshman Haley

Dervinis (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West). Senior Jessica Jaworski

(Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) assisted on both goals for Temple. Time ran out

for the Owls as the Hoyas added yet another game to their win column.

The Owls are next in action on Friday, Sept. 29 at La Salle at 3:30

p.m. They are next in action at home on Sunday, Oct. 1 at noon at Geasey

Field against nationally ranked (12th) James Madison.
