Temple Field Hockey Falls to Lehigh

PHILADELPHIA ( Sept. 3, 2000) - The Temple field hockey team lost, 1-0,
to Lehigh today at Geasey Field.
The Mountain Hawks Shelley Trumbore (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) scored
the only goal of the game with 19:00 left in the first half. The Owls
were awarded 22 penalty corners and two penalty strokes but were not
able to spark a goal.
The Cherry and White will host the annual Temple Invitational
Tournament next weekend, Sept. 9-10, at Geasey Field. Competitors
include Towson and nationally ranked teams North Carolina and Iowa.
Tournament action begins on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. when Temple plays
Towson.
