PHILADELPHIA --Temple were edge 1-0 by Massachusetts on Sunday ,afternoon at Richard F. Garber Field. The Minutewomen remain undefeated in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 5-0 record and 8-7 overall. Temple record drops to 7-10 overall and 1-3 in the A-10 Conference.

Temple's defense limited UMass to seven shots and three shots on goal. The Owls out shot the Minutewomen 13 to seven. The Owls senior goal keeper April Herman (Lancaster,Pa/Conestoga Valley) had two saves and UMass net minder Ashley Egland stopped all four shots on goal

UMass junior Ericka Whiston scored the game winning-goal with 16:28 remaining in the first period.

Temple 7-10,1-3,A-10) will host LaSalle on Thursday,October 25 at 3:30 p.m.
