THREE OWLS EARNED MIDATLANTIC HONORS

11.12.01 | Field Hockey

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University senior midfielder Kacy Ziomek was named to the 2001 MidAtlantic Region All-America field hockey first team. Teammates senior midfielder JoAnn Engestrom and junior midfielder Emily Moyer were named to the second team.

Ziomek, a native of Sweet Valley, Pa. started all 18 games for the Owls and had one goal, one assist and four saves. Engestrom saw action in 18 games and started 16. The Middletown, Md. Native was second on the team in scoring with five goals and 11 points. Moyer, a native of Dresher, Pa., started all 18 games and posted a career high six assists this season.
